A solar inverter (or just inverter) produces an alternating voltage from a direct voltage. When a power consumer is connected to the alternating voltage generated, alternating current is created from direct current. Inverters are also known as inverters in English.

Microinverters are used for balcony power plants , which are connected directly to one or two modules and convert the electricity generated into usable grid electricity.
