Module efficiency

The module efficiency describes the ratio of the (usable) energy generated compared to the energy used (sunlight). Solar cells currently have an efficiency of ~20%. This may seem like little at first glance. Given the fact that sunlight is freely available and the solar cells have already been manufactured using green electricity, the cycle is complete. Research is of course working intensively to increase efficiency . |
